Privacy

Effective 28 October 2026

This policy explains what information the Beepo website (beepocat.com and beepocat.pages.dev) and the Beepo email list collect, why, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. Beepo is a small creator project run by one person in Hawaii, USA. We decide how your information is used (in EU and UK terms, we are the “controller”). Contact: [email protected].

The short version

1. What we collect and why

Email list (Kit). When you sign up we collect your email address. Our email provider, Kit, also records when and where you signed up, the IP address used, and when you confirmed (the “Confirm” email), so we can show that you asked to join. Like most newsletter tools, Kit tells us whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. We use that only to see what people enjoy and to keep the list healthy. We use your email to send the free wallpapers and occasional Beepo news: new wallpapers, plushies, pet portraits and other launches. Legal basis (EU/UK): your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.

Fan art (Tally). When you send fan art through the form, we collect the file, the name or @ you want credit under, and your permission tick. Our form provider, Tally, also records when you sent it and basic technical details (such as your IP address and browser) to run and protect its service. If you send art by DM or email instead, we get whatever you send us there. We use this to review your art, post it with credit, and keep a record that you gave permission. Legal basis (EU/UK): your consent and our agreement with you (the fan-art permission in our Terms), plus our legitimate interest in keeping proof of that permission.

Emails you send us. If you write to [email protected], we get your email address and whatever you include. Messages to that address are forwarded to a Gmail inbox, so Google stores them for us. We use them only to reply and to handle your request. Legal basis (EU/UK): our legitimate interest in answering you.

Visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics). We use Cloudflare’s cookie-free analytics to count page views, which page or site referred you, your country, and your device and browser type, as totals. It does not use cookies and is not designed to identify or follow individual visitors. Legal basis (EU/UK): our legitimate interest in knowing which pages people use.

Hosting and security (Cloudflare). The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. Legal basis (EU/UK): our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website.

Fonts (Google Fonts). Our pages load their fonts from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser asks Google’s servers for the fonts, which sends Google your IP address and basic browser details. Google says it does not set cookies for this and does not use this information to build profiles or target ads. Legal basis (EU/UK): our legitimate interest in showing the site’s fonts.

Social media. Our links to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube take you to those platforms, and their own privacy policies apply there. We don’t embed their players or tracking pixels on this site. Comments and messages you send us on those platforms are handled under their policies.

2. What we don’t do

3. Who we share it with

Only with the services that run things for us, and only for that job:

Fan art we post, and the name or @ you asked us to credit, are public once posted. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect people’s safety or our rights. If Beepo is ever run by a company (for example an LLC we set up) or passed to someone else, your information would move with it and stay covered by this policy.

4. Cookies and tracking

Our own pages set no cookies. The fan-art form is provided by Tally inside our page, and the “Confirm” and signup steps run on Kit’s pages. Those services may use cookies or similar storage that they need to make their forms work. See their own policies for details. Our cookie-free statistics don’t follow you across other websites, and we don’t let advertisers or other third parties track you on our site. Google Fonts, Cloudflare and Tally do receive technical details such as your IP address when your browser connects to them, as described above. Because we don’t track you across sites, we treat every visitor the same way, and there’s nothing extra to switch off when your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal.

5. How long we keep it

6. Children

Beepo is a cute character, but this site is made for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you’re under 13, please don’t join the email list or send us art yourself. A parent or guardian can send your art for you. In some EU countries you must be 16 to join an email list on your own (13 in the UK), so if you’re younger than that where you live, please ask a parent or guardian. If we learn we’ve collected information from a child under 13 without a parent’s permission, we’ll delete it. Parents can email [email protected] to have their child’s information removed.

7. Your choices and rights

Everyone. You can unsubscribe with the link in any email. You can also email [email protected] to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, or to withdraw permission for your fan art. Please write from the email address involved, or tell us your @, so we can check it’s really you. We’ll reply within 30 days and won’t treat you differently for asking.

If you’re in the EU, EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete or move your information, to restrict or object to how we use it (including anything we do based on legitimate interests), and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting what happened before. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office). We’d appreciate the chance to fix things first.

If you’re in a US state with a privacy law (such as California, Colorado or Virginia): Beepo is far too small to be covered by most of these laws, but we’ll honour the same requests (to know, correct and delete) for anyone who asks. We don’t sell or share personal information, and we don’t use “sensitive” personal information.

8. International transfers

We’re based in the USA, and our service providers work in the USA and other countries. If you’re outside the USA, your information will be handled there. Tally stores form data in the EU. Kit, Cloudflare and Google protect information they receive from the EU and UK under their data protection terms, using the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK Extension) where they are certified, and/or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Security

The site runs over HTTPS, has no logins and stores no passwords or payment details. We protect the accounts that hold your information with strong passwords and 2-step verification. No system is perfectly secure, but if something goes wrong that affects your information, we’ll tell you where the law requires it.

10. Changes

If we change how we handle information (for example when we start selling pet portraits or merch), we’ll update this page and its effective date. For important changes we’ll also tell subscribers by email.

11. Contact
